My Great Uncle Carl Engelhart Passed away yesterday.  He was a great human being who had a very long and amazing life.  He held a huge place in my life and heart. He is beloved by so many and will be much missed.  Most of my interactions with him and my Great Aunt Margaret took place out on the island of Vinalhaven, ME where I would visit during the summer.  These are some of my favorite pictures taken of him during several different trips out there.

Vinalhaven, ME

The last of the eerie misty Vinalhaven, Maine pictures from this summer.  In celebration of an equally moody day here in Nueva York.  My personal favorite is the one with the little hut.  I've been going to this spot since I was very small and I've always wondered who's place it was, but I've yet to ever see anyone there.  Even in the middle of the summer.  I think it would be a great place to write the great American novel or something.
